RHET has received a visit from its patron, Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, to mark 20 years of charitable efforts educating school children on the importance of food and farming production. HRH joined a class of 30 primary five pupils from Queensferry Primary School during a visit to Craigie’s Farm, near Kirkliston to experience first-hand the work delivered by the charity. Despite being a little shy at first, the children soon forgot their nerves, offering up stories of their favourite things to eat, to Princess Anne, and explained their successful growing project at school. RHET chairman George Lawrie and executive officer Katrina Barclay presented HRH with a hamper of local produce to mark the occasion.
