AROUND 100 farm secretaries from all over the UK will be gathered in Peebles Hydro next spring for the 51st Annual Conference of the Institute of Agricultural Secretaries and Administrators (IAgSA).

Hosted by the Scottish Borders branch, the event is dedicated to the staff who 'form the backbone' of every farm enterprise, and will take place over the weekend of February 28 to March 1, 2020.

Borders members Amanda Runciman and Bev Marsh will lead the conference, themed as 'Knowing No Borders'. The Friday afternoon session will include a choice of workshops – book-keeping and compliance with chartered accountants Greaves, West and Ayre; AHDB Benchmarking; and agricultural software updates from Farmplan, Landmark and Sum-It.

A range of presentations will take place on Saturday morning, and after lunch, there will be a visit to Glenrath Farms Ltd, one of the UK’s leading egg production and marketing companies. On Saturday evening, delegates will enjoy a drinks reception, gala dinner and informal ceilidh.

Trade Stands and use of the hotel facilities will be available throughout the weekend. Booking forms with options ranging from the full weekend to day delegate are available from IAgSA2020Conf@gmail.com

Places are limited, and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
