OVER A dozen tractors, Land Rovers and 4x4s took to the streets around parliament square in London, this Wednesday (July 8), to protest against the recent Government controversy regarding future trade deals and food import standards.
The group Save British Farming were behind the socially distanced protest and stated that this inaugural gathering would be one of many they have planned in the coming months – with regional ones planned for the Autumn.
The demonstrations are hoped to highlight the importance of reciprocity in food standard’s in future trade deals in an attempt to ‘save Britain from chlorinated chicken and hormone-fuelled beef.’
