IT'S not often Hamilton can be compared to Hollywood.
But, today the South Lanarkshire town got a taste of the glitz and the glamour when Outlander star Sam Heughan unexpectedly stopped by.
The 40-year-old actor, who has been tipped to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond, completed his motorcycle test at BikeRite Rider in Rutherglen.
Heughan sat his test on the roads of Lanarkshire this afternoon, with his motorcycle helmet ensuring that he scooted about incognito as he did so while being followed by an examiner.
Posting on social media today, chiefs from centre wrote: "A massive congrats to Sam Heughan on gaining his full bike licence today.
"Stay safe Outlander and we look forward to hearing all about your new adventures on two wheels."
They later added: "Well done David and Sam on gaining their full licences today.
"A long journey to get here with all that is happening in the world nowadays makes this all the more special.
"Look forward to seeing the new rides when you get them."
