Rangers have confirmed that Filip Helander has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Sweden centre-back is not in Steven Gerrard’s squad for tonight’s Betfred Cup round-two clash at Falkirk and the club announced that the 27-year-old has now become the club’s first confirmed case.
A club statement read: "Rangers can confirm that Filip Helander has returned a positive test for Covid-19. He will self isolate in line with government guidelines. We wish Filip well and look forward to his return to our squad."
