There was a double victory for Scottish breeders among the Clydesdales, with the champion and reserve honours both heading north of the Border.
Supreme was Charlotte Young’s Littleward Meghan from Ayr. This four-year-old mare is by Arradoul Balvenie and has previously taken the female championship at the National Stallion Show in 2020, as well as a second prize ticket at the Royal Highland Showcase, last month.
The second prize mare, Burgessouton Miracle bagged the reserve honours for Wigtownshire breeder, Colleen Marshall, Newton Stewart. This three-year-old is by Eskechraggan Ernest, out of Rashillhouse Jessica Jean and has previously secured titles at local events.
