Buyers were once again out in force at Aberdeen and Northern Mart's sale on Tuesday, where numbers were scarce, resulting in 958 store lambs cashing in at £75.89.

Suffolk from Cormalet, Cairnie, topped the store lambs at £100, whilst the isle of Uist store lambs (542) reached £110 for Suffolk crosses from Carnish, Benbecula, to average £77.22.

Orkney and Shetland Isles lambs (593) averaged £76.47 and sold to £98 for Texels from Schusan, St Margaret’s Hope.

Averages remained steady on the week with Beltex cross topping at £92.37 (+£7.14), whilst Mules cashed in at £77.13 (+£3.80). Cheviot Mules and Texel crosses balanced out at £84.50 (+£8.07) and£82.10 (-£0.58) respectively, with Suffolk crosses achieving £82.81 (-£0.71). Cheviot and Blackfaces averaged £66.18 (-£2.75) and £58.27 (+£1.20) respectively.

Ewes peaked at £110 for Suffolks from Millfield, Norwick.
