Commenting on the upcoming awards evening, SAYFC’s national chair, Katie Burns, told The SF: “I’m really looking forward to the five star awards, I feel really proud of the organisations members for how resilient they have been during the past 18 months. This is a night to celebrate the amazing achievements of the clubs and recognising individuals that may not usually get the recognition.

“There were plenty of nominations for each of the Awards, which was great to see. The standard was very high and I do believe we are showing off some of the best SAYFC has to offer, I don’t envy the judges’ job.”

The ‘Five Star Awards Night’ will take place on Saturday, December 4 ,with a a formal prizegiving ceremony, dinner and dance – the first of its kind for many decades – giving attendees a chance to see the Royal Highland Centre’s new Members Pavilion. It will also coincide with the annual agri and rural affairs conference, also taking place that weekend.
