Simmentals from the Barlow family's Denizes herd from Lancashire, proved hard to beat at United Auctions' Stirling Bull Sales, producing the top priced bull at 30,000gns.
The family who run a herd of 70 cows at Four Oaks, Leyland, sold their pen leader, the May 2020-born Denizes Lancelot to Richard McCulloch, Overhill House, Armadale, West Lothian.
This boy is sired by the home-bred Denizes Impeccable and out of one of the herd's best cows, Denizes Hannadante - which has bred sons to 15,000gns in the form of Denizes Gallant, sold here in 2017 and also Denizes Hector which made 5500gns.
