To mark rural charity RSABI’s 125th anniversary year, people in Scottish agriculture are being encouraged to contribute kilometres towards its #Challenge125 initiative, and help meet the ambitious target of clocking up 125,000km.
Sponsored by United Auctions, the emphasis of the initiative is on raising your heart rate, rather than funds, and making the most of being out in the Scottish outdoors, with the benefits this brings to both physical and mental health. With the fundraising goal of £5000 for #Challenge125 close to being met already thanks to donations received, there is no pressure or requirement to raise money – it is plain old kilometres that are needed!

It’s easy to join and you can choose to walk, cycle, run or tally up the kilometres you complete while working on the farm.
RSABI’s vice-chair, Jimmy McLean, has hung up his pick-up keys in support of #Challenge125 and will be walking to check his sheep each morning until the RSABI Great Glen Challenge 2022 on August 26. All being well, Jimmy calculates that he will cover a total of 200km, a very welcome contribution to the target!
