The Holstein, Enchanted Beemer Abbiene, certainly made her mark among the dairy inter-breed at the Great Yorkshire today, when she secured the supreme title.

This girl is jointly owned by Ben Coates, who runs 85 cows alongside Oliver and Bethan Greenhaugh and his grandfather, Aubrey from Shipley, West Yorkshire.

Their champion today was the freshly calved third calver having last calved in May she is now giving 55l being VG88 classified. This girl is bred from the Ex93 classified dam, Enchanted Gold Chip Abbiene, onto the sire, Pol Butte Mc Beemer and stood first in her class in 2018 as a calf.

The runner up in this section was the Dairy Shorthorn champion from Ian Collins from Bewsbury, West Yorkshire.

The second calver, Churchroyd Bronte Wildeyes 63, last calved three weeks ago, being VG88 classified and is now producing 40l. She is the result of the sire, Churchroyd Harry, onto the dam, Churchroyd Bronte Wildeyes 31 Ex90.
