A horse called Magic had a decidedly unmagical time when she became badly stuck in her horse box in Frome on Sunday night (April 9).

The specialist animal rescue team from Bedminster Fire Station was mobilised at 11.15pm to an eight-year-old horse trapped in her box in Berkley Street.

While in transit, Magic's legs had become entangled in a gate stored at the back of the horse box.

The crew used electric cutters and spreaders to free her.

They stayed on the scene in case the vet and owner needed any further assistance and then helped to move the horse box to a safe place.
