JULES Hudson, face of Escape to the Country, has been confirmed as the headline guest for this year’s Hanbury Countryside Show.

The celebrated countryman, who is also an archaeologist and historian, will be at Park Hall Farm on Saturday, July 1.

He’ll be chatting to local broadcaster, Nina Das Gupta in the show’s Carter Jonas Theatre, about farming, the countryside, and 20 years of television.

He’ll also be out and about meeting visitors, exhibitors, competitors, and traders in various sections of the event.

Said Annette Steenton, director of the Hanbury Countryside Show: “Jules Hudson is a household name, and a champion of the British countryside and all its wonders.

“Through his television work, he’s already known to many of our show visitors, and we are thrilled that he will be joining us both on stage in the Carter Jonas Theatre and around the show this year.”

Jules Hudson also hosts This Week on the Farm with Helen Skelton, and Today at the Great Yorkshire Show, both for Channel 5.

The Hanbury Countryside Show, now in its 76th year, celebrates the very best of rural life in Worcestershire, and is well known as a great day out for the entire family, with fun things to do, wonderful livestock displays, delicious food and drink, its own Gardeners’ Question Time, music and entertainment.
