There will be a celebration of the very best of Scottish farming later this year, thanks to an initiative by The Scottish Farmer to hold an industry awards dinner.

To be held in conjunction with AgriScot – and with a superb headline sponsor – it will use the various farm category awards from that event as the basis for a much expanded, standalone event to be held in Glasgow on October 26. The aim is to reward and applaud the very best of farming and rural business in Scotland.

Various awards will be added to the 'Farm of the Year' titles that have been championed by AgriScot for many years. These will range from 'Service Provider of the Year', through to the likes of 'Advisor of the Year' and that always popular category 'Unsung Hero'.

Our nomination and information pages about the event went live this week – it can be accessed at: https://agriawards.evessiocloud.com/AgriAwards2023/en/page/home

Note that all of the previous 'farm' categories that were at AgriScot, will also now be nominated via this portal. The process is simple and easy to follow.

That means we are now accepting nominations from across the industry for the 15 carefully selected categories and so we would urge readers to get their thinking caps on for who might befit the title of a 'champion' – and each winner will go through to contend the 'Champion of Champions' title.

Key sponsorship is already in place – some of which will be revealed next week – but there remains an opportunity for businesses to invest in supporting what will be a superb night delivered by our own award-winning events team.
