THOUSANDS of birds are believed to have died following a fire at an industrial unit housing poultry this morning (May 30).
This was in Dulas, Anglesey, at about 5.30am.
The fire was believed to have been started accidentally, and is thought to have killed “around 8,000” birds.
A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were called to a fire in an industrial unit in Dulas, Anglesey, housing poultry at 5.33am this morning.

“Crews from Amlwch, Benllech and Menai Bridge attended.
“The fire had been started accidentally.
“No confirmed number (of fatalities) as yet, but it is thought to be around 8,000.”
