SIX chickens were killed in an attack by a dog that was let off its lead in Bangor.

The livestock attack took place in the Vaynol Park area of the city at 4.40pm on Monday, 28 August.

Six chickens were killed by a black dog, possibly of a spaniel breed, which was loose and off a lead on the victim’s land.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information following a livestock attack in the Vaynol Park area of Bangor.

"Livestock attacks are covered under the Dogs (protection of livestock) Act 1953 and in this case, it is an offence to be in charge, or be the owner of a dog, that has attacked chickens.
