The recent A.G.M of Bute Agricultural Society witnessed the historical return of a woman president.
For only the second time in 218 years, the role is now taken by Jean Kennedy of Largiverechtan. A gap of 101 years since Mrs Mary McAlister of Meikle Kilmory was elected in 1922.
