At 11.15pm on March 28, firefighters from Hornby, alongside colleagues from Lancaster Fire Station, Carnforth Fire Station, and Bentham Fire Station, responded to a barn fire in Roeburndale.
Upon arrival, the crew encountered smoke and fire emitting from the barn.
Employing six breathing apparatuses and tanks of water, they successfully extinguished the fire.
With the assistance of farmers on scene, livestock were safely relocated moved from the barn.
FF Bleasdale provided oxygen to a sheep that had suffered from smoke inhalation.
A fire service spokesman stated: “Thankfully, the fire was contained to the barn and did not spread to any other properties nearby.”
