The agricultural industry in Scotland has lost a legend, in the passing of John Wight, Midlock, Biggar. He was 85 years of age.
He dedicated his life to farming and was renowned for breeding pedigree Charolais and suckler cattle.
A former director of the Royal Highland Show, United Auctions, and the Charolais cattle society, John was well known and loved by many.
A private interment followed by a remembrance service at Biggar Kirk, on Friday, May 17 at 1pm, to which all friends are invited.
