Teen in hospital after being 'electrocuted' at farm near Seamer

A teenage boy was airlifted to hospital after being "electrocuted" at a farm near Stokesley.

Police, paramedics, and two air ambulances were called to a farm in the Holme Lane area, near Seamer, after an incident just before 5pm on Tuesday (July 30). 

The teenager suffered suspected electrocution injuries and was airlifted to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition. 

North Yorkshire Police confirmed two men, aged 47 and 71, have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody for questioning.

Officers remain at the scene as the investigation progresses. 



A Great North Air Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "Shortly before 4pm our critical care team received a request from the Yorkshire Air Ambulance to attend an incident in Seamer.

"We had a doctor and two paramedics respond and they arrived on scene at 4.16pm. Our team assessed and treated a patient before airlifting them to hospital in 16 minutes."
