Scotch Beef Farm of the Year headed up north to Shandford Farm near Brechin, a 5000-acre, multi-generational family enterprise producing high-quality Aberdeen Angus beef, sheep, and crops.
Speaking after the win, Graeme Mather said: “We couldn’t have asked for more to win this award. It is a privilege for the family and the business to be recognised for this award and is right up there with any success we have had before.” He highlighted the farm’s commitment to homebred stock, adding: “The fact that the entire herd is entirely homebred and winning this award is testament to what we are doing back at home.”
Shandford Farm is renowned for its home-bred Angus herd and its consistent supply to local butchers. The family runs the business with a strong focus on efficiency, sustainability, and quality, combining traditional farming values with modern techniques to maintain a high standard across all areas of the farm.
