Can-Am is entering a new chapter in the utility and recreational side-by-side market with the launch of its next-generation Traxter. Widely used by farmers and land managers, the Traxter has earned a reputation for strength, reliability and versatility.
For 2026, the model has been redesigned, aiming to strengthen its position as a capable and adaptable machine in its class.

Powertrain
At the heart of the new Traxter is an all-new 999cc Rotax ACE inline three-cylinder engine producing 95hp and 70lb-ft of torque. Paired with a new continuously variable transmission (CVT) and pDrive primary clutch, the setup delivers smoother power at low speeds and improved durability. Three selectable drive modes – Normal, Work and Sport – tailor performance to the task, from towing to tackling rough ground.
A redesigned intake system improves airflow, while the upgraded cooling system manages engine temperature and boosts cab heating and ventilation. The 2026 Traxter HD11 and MAX HD11 models also feature an Open-4Lok front differential with ABS for maximum traction in all conditions.
The new model continues to set the standard for payload, towing and cargo capacity, and now includes a larger 45l fuel tank for longer days on the job or trail.

Suspension and chassis
The 2026 Traxter’s strengthened chassis and new 165cm-wide suspension geometry feature 50% larger arched double A-arms. More robust components and double-bonded bushings – an industry first – reduce maintenance and road noise. Improved rollover protection and chassis reinforcement enhance durability and handling, even under heavy loads.
With 30.5cm of suspension travel and 35.6cm of ground clearance – both class-leading – the Traxter offers confident stability and smoother ride quality. A tighter turning radius makes for easier manoeuvring in confined spaces, while larger 262mm front brake rotors with twin-piston calipers deliver strong, controlled stopping power.
Workability and comfort
Built for long days, the new Traxter offers the largest cab in its class and 8% more legroom than the nearest competitor. A tilt-adjust steering wheel, reshaped seat foam and refined backrest angle add comfort and ease of use.
Over 200 accessories allow riders to tailor the Traxter for any job, from LinQ storage systems to integrated plow mounts and Smart electronic add-ons. A new 1700W charging system doubles the previous output, easily powering tools and accessories.
New LED headlights offer 45% more illumination, with added rear and reverse lights for greater visibility. Routine servicing is simpler too, with easy access points, longer service intervals and low maintenance costs to keep downtime to a minimum.
Model line-up
The 2026 Traxter HD11 will be available in two versions – the Traxter XU HD11 and Traxter MAX XU HD11 – both fitted with ABS.
