At Agritechnica, Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) and Tractor of the Year returned to highlight the innovation shaping modern agriculture. The award recognises machines that work the land efficiently while incorporating new technologies for the future.
Since 2020, the BKT–Tractor of the Year partnership has followed the evolution of agricultural mechanization, showcasing the companies driving change.
After a thorough selection process involving leading tractor manufacturers and a 25-member jury of specialist journalists from across Europe, the 2026 edition of Tractor of the Year concluded.
Key themes for this year’s competition include sustainable technologies, energy efficiency, autonomy and digitalization, and reduced environmental impact. These trends are increasingly central to the industry, making Tractor of the Year a respected benchmark and a clear showcase for innovation in agricultural machinery.
The award ceremony at Agritechnica recognises the tractor models that best reflect these developments in each category.

The 2026 edition closes, but the focus on innovation continues. Tractor of the Year and BKT will return in 2027 with new technologies and solutions for the future of farming.
