JCB has been crowned ‘Machine of the Year’ at this year’s LAMMA show, the UK’s largest agricultural machinery and technology event, held at NEC Birmingham on January 14-15.

The accolade went to the all-new Fastrac 6000 Series tractor, which impressed the judges with its unique combination of features in its power class.

Highlights include adaptive suspension on all wheels, delivering greater stability on the road and outstanding ride comfort in the field and multi-mode four-wheel steering, a feature not available on any other tractor in this segment.

The LAMMA Gold Award was presented to JCB agriculture managing director John Smith, who said: “We are delighted to receive this award. It underlines our commitment to innovation and our drive to deliver performance, cost-efficiency and productivity in all the machines we manufacture.”

The 6000 Series expands the high-speed Fastrac range with the new 284hp 6260 and 335hp 6300 models. Among the new features are quick-change tyre pressure settings via the iCON touchscreen display, optimising performance for both fieldwork and road travel. A new high-precision guidance system also supports accurate field operations, helping operators achieve maximum productivity.
