From the 2027 season, selected AS-Motor machines will be available with the Stihl Powerhead. This will allow users to choose between two established battery systems and integrate AS-Motor machines more easily into existing equipment fleets.
Choosing a battery system is a long-term investment. Professional users expect not only high-performance machines, but also the ability to use batteries across as many applications as possible. With the Stihl Powerhead, AS-Motor is expanding its battery portfolio and giving users of the widely used Stihl battery system access to specialist machines for professional landscape maintenance. Existing batteries can continue to be used, avoiding the need to invest in a separate system.
The move also opens up opportunities for specialist retailers. Many already stock both AS-Motor and Stihl and are familiar with the battery system, so the new AS-Motor models can be integrated easily into existing ranges. End customers benefit from a solution that fits seamlessly into their current kit. Not every user works with the same battery platform or has the same requirements, so the new Powerhead variant sits alongside AS-Motor’s existing battery range as an additional choice.

The new Stihl Allpro battery system forms the basis of the Powerhead, which delivers a peak power output of 2950 watts. Designed for professional use, the new batteries use modern tabless cell technology to deliver higher power across the full charge range, helping maintain consistent performance during power-intensive tasks.
The new Powerheads are fully compatible with batteries from the existing Stihl AP system. Users can therefore run both the new Allpro batteries and their existing AP batteries, continuing to make full use of previous investments. With fast-charging to around 80% capacity in minutes (using a suitable charger), more than 3000 charge cycles and IPX5 certification for outdoor use, the Allpro system is aimed squarely at contractors, local authorities and landscape professionals.
The wider Stihl battery ecosystem already includes around 80 tools, from hedge trimmers and leaf blowers to chainsaws and other professional applications. The new AS-Motor machines extend that range into professional weed control and lawn care, giving users a single battery system for more day-to-day tasks.

Can-Am Outlander MAX Electric T proves electric ATVs mean business
Three AS-Motor Electric models featuring the Stihl Powerhead will be available for the 2027 season: the AS 30 E-WeedHex AP and AS 60 E-WeedHex AP weed brushes, and the AS 510 E-ProClip A AP professional mulching mower.
The AS 30 E-WeedHex AP is a compact solution for professional weed removal on pavements, paved areas and in confined spaces. Its electric drive delivers high torque with low noise and no exhaust emissions, making it suitable for noise-sensitive sites such as housing estates, hospitals, care homes and nurseries. Its compact design and manoeuvrability help on uneven surfaces, cobbles and along walls, kerbs and edges.
The AS 60 E-WeedHex AP is designed for efficient weed removal over larger areas and is aimed at municipal works departments, local authorities and professional contractors. Mechanical weed control is carried out without chemicals and delivers immediately visible results, while modern battery drive brings low noise, low maintenance and high torque at the press of a button.
The AS 510 E-ProClip A AP mulching mower combines the robust construction of the ProClip series with modern battery technology. With a 51cm cutting width, a steel mulching deck, triple-bearing crankshaft and high traction, it is built for daily professional use while offering quieter, lower-vibration operation and reduced running costs compared with petrol machines.
The new AS-Motor models powered by Stihl will be available from the 2027 season.
