Newark Vintage Tractor and Heritage Show entries now open

The event returns to Newark Showground on November 7 and 8, bringing together one of the UK’s largest collections of working heritage machinery and attracting exhibitors, clubs and visitors from across Britain and beyond.

A panel of expert judges from across the country will assess exhibits and recognise stand-out examples across the classes. Organisers say the sheer variety of machinery, and the number of new and rare exhibits appearing each year, remains one of the show’s biggest strengths.

The weekend programme includes a specialist vintage tractor and machinery auction hosted by Brown & Co, beginning at 10am on the Saturday. Last year’s sale drew more than 450 lots, from complete vehicles and implements to collectables and memorabilia. The popular Sunday Sort Out will also return, giving enthusiasts the chance to hunt for parts, spares and unusual finds, while tractor and trailer rides will offer visitors a hands-on way to experience the showground.

Show chairman Roger Jackson said the event is about far more than metalwork alone.

“The event is as much about the conversations and shared passion as it is about the machines on display,” he said. “The sense of community that builds over the two days is one of its defining qualities, and public camping is available throughout the weekend for those who want to make the most of it.”

He also highlighted the importance of club displays in creating the atmosphere that has become central to the show.

“Clubs are a vital part of that atmosphere, bringing some of the most eye-catching and carefully curated group displays to the showground,” he said. Club stand applications are now open, with organisations encouraged to register early before entries close on August 20.

The 2026 event will also feature a series of landmark anniversaries. The headline theme, 'All Things Ferguson', will mark six major milestones from the Ferguson Model A launched in 1936 through to the Massey Ferguson 3000 Series of 1986. Further celebrations will include the iconic Q cab, the centenary of the Lister D stationary engine, 60 years of John Deere’s UK and Ireland operation in Nottinghamshire, the 70th anniversary of the McCormick International B250, the 30th anniversary of the Fordson 500 celebration and a special display on drainage machinery.

With historic machines, auctions, club displays and anniversary features, organisers say the 2026 Newark Vintage Tractor and Heritage Show will offer plenty for enthusiasts, collectors and families alike.
