A strong day of livestock competition, at Coylton saw Babycakes take the inter-breed cattle award for Kiki McMillan-Grant, Brocklees, Darvel.
The black yearling Limousin cross heifer was selected supreme by judge Scott Bourman adding to her previous championship win at Fenwick and reserve titles from Ochiltree and New Cumnock.
Reserve cattle honours were presented to the dairy champion, Stair Adorable Supra, a second calved Holstein from Kirsten Sloan, Dormieston, Stair which is shared with Hugh Kennedy, East Carngillan.

Runner-up for that dairy award was the reserve Holstein from Ewan and Emma Kennedy, Perryston, Ayr. Their fourth-calver, Perryston Chief Aulder is classified Ex94.
Inter-breed sheep judge, Robert Struthers found his supreme in a Bluefaced Leicester ram from Alec Kilpatrick, Barr, Sanquhar which is shared with Callum Kirk, Hall of Drumpark, Dumfries.
The Suffolk champion, a one-crop ewe landed the reserve honours for father-and-son duo Jim and Daniel Hodge, Dykes, Auchinleck.

Ayrshire (Judge: A Lawrie). Champion – K Davidson, Halmyres, Castle Douglas, with the February-born heifer calf, Halmyre Urr Dollars Louise, shown by grandson Charlie Wilson (8). Sired by Halmyre Urr Billion Dollars and out of the VG85-classified dam, Halmyre Urr Louise 368. Reserve, from the same home and shown by granddaughter Amelia Wilson (10), was another February-born heifer calf, Halmyre Urr Man Ladybird 3, sired by Beeline Ladys Man and out of the VG87-classified dam, Halmyre Urr Ladybird 567.
