An MSP has welcomed new funding to help farmers and crofters improve and modernise their businesses.
Michelle Campbell, SNP MSP for Renfrewshire North and Cardonald, has supported the Future Farming Investment Scheme, which offers grants of up to £20,000 for eligible businesses.
The funding aims to support better soil management, hedgerow creation, equipment upgrades, and improved livestock handling facilities.
Campbell said: "Farmers and crofters are at the heart of communities across Renfrewshire North and Cardonald, producing high-quality food, supporting local jobs, and caring for the land.
"These new grants will help businesses modernise their operations and become more future-proof in the face of rising costs and increasingly extreme weather.
"It is absolutely right we brought these grants forward amid the wage war on our rural communities, be that through sky-high diesel prices, compounding the damage of Brexit, or the family farm tax."
The Scottish Government has allocated £14.25 million to the fund, which is expected to benefit at least 725 farming and crofting businesses across Scotland.
Campbell has urged potential applicants to come forward.
She said: "I would encourage anyone who thinks they may be eligible for this fund to apply."
