What Reuben Owen from Our Yorkshire Farm is doing now

Growing up at the family's remote 2,000-acre Ravenseat Farm in Upper Swaledale, Reuben could regularly be seen helping his parents with livestock, tractors and the endless practical jobs that came with life in the Yorkshire Dales.

But since the Channel 5 programme first introduced viewers to the Owen family, the 22-year-old has gone on to forge a career very much of his own.

Now one of the most prominent of Amanda and Clive's nine children, he has turned his childhood fascination with machinery into a groundworks and heavy plant business – while also becoming a television star in his own right.

Reuben initially returned to screens alongside his dad Clive in Beyond the Yorkshire Farm: Reuben and Clive.

The spin-off followed the pair as Reuben began developing his contracting business, taking on jobs across the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding countryside.

His success eventually led to another programme, Reuben Owen: Life in the Dales, putting the young farmer and businessman firmly at the centre of the action.

The Channel 5 series follows Reuben as he tackles groundworks, machinery jobs and agricultural projects with the help of friends and members of his family.

A third series aired in 2026, with episodes continuing through June.

Reuben's brothers have increasingly become part of his working life too.

Miles Owen, the third eldest of Amanda and Clive's children, has appeared alongside him while combining work on the family farm with helping Reuben's business.

Younger brother Sidney, commonly known as Sid, has also joined Reuben for farming and machinery jobs.

The siblings were seen working together during the 2026 series of Life in the Dales, including sheep shearing at Ravenseat.

Despite establishing his own career, Reuben remains closely connected to the family farm where he grew up.

He continues to feature in Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, the programme following the Owens as they restore the neighbouring property known as Anty John's.

That project has again given viewers the chance to see Reuben working alongside Clive and the younger members of the family.

During the third series, he joined Clive and Sid to tackle repairs to a collapsed bridge on the track leading towards the farmhouse.

His appearances mean Reuben now has a presence across both strands of the Owen family's television story – his own adventures on Channel 5 and the wider family's life through Our Farm Next Door.

It marks a considerable change from the young boy viewers first watched growing up at Ravenseat when Our Yorkshire Farm began in 2018.

While several of the Owen children have pursued different interests as they have grown older, Reuben has remained firmly rooted in the practical rural world that first made the family famous.

His passion for tractors, diggers and machinery has developed from a childhood interest into both a livelihood and a television career.

And although much has changed for the Owen family since the early days of Our Yorkshire Farm, Reuben's life continues to revolve around many of the things viewers first saw him enjoying – farming, machinery, the Yorkshire Dales and working alongside his family.
