The sheep section at this year’s Yarrow & Ettrick Pastoral Society Show has been cancelled following veterinary advice.

The decision was announced by show organisers on Wednesday, September 2, after they assessed the current situation.

Organisers thanked those who had already entered sheep and said they hoped to welcome exhibitors back next year.

The rest of the show will go ahead at Philiphaugh on Saturday, September 12.

The event will include horse and dog classes, industrial exhibits, craft stalls and children’s entertainment, as well as a vintage display.

A display of classic cars will also feature at the show for the first time this year.

Organisers said they were looking forward to welcoming visitors and thanked the public for their continued support.
