Where is Clive Owen now after Channel 5 Our Yorkshire Farm?

Clive, his then-wife Amanda, the Yorkshire Shepherdess, and their nine children became familiar faces as cameras captured life in the Yorkshire Dales.

Since Our Yorkshire Farm ended, Clive and Amanda have separated after more than two decades of marriage, but the family has returned to television in a new series.

Now 70, Clive remains involved at Ravenseat but is starting to consider its future and the next generation of Owens.

Who is Clive Owen?

Clive is a hill farmer who has spent much of his life working in the remote Yorkshire Dales.

Ravenseat Farm, near Keld in Swaledale, became known across the country through Our Yorkshire Farm, which began on Channel 5 in 2018.

The 2,000-acre hill farm keeps around 1,000 sheep and other animals, while the programme follows the challenges of farming in remote North Yorkshire.

Clive and Amanda have nine children together: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine and Nancy.

Amanda first visited Ravenseat in 1996 to collect a ram. Clive was already farming there, and they married in 2000.

Their family and unusual way of life would eventually become the focus of Our Yorkshire Farm.

What happened after Our Yorkshire Farm?

Clive and Amanda announced their separation in June 2022 after 22 years of marriage.

They said the end of their relationship would not end their work together.

They said they would keep working on the farm and co-parenting their children, with their family’s happiness and wellbeing as the priority.

Five months later, Channel 5 confirmed that Our Yorkshire Farm would not return for another series.

Clive stayed on Channel 5 in the spin-off Beyond the Yorkshire Farm: Reuben and Clive, which followed him and his eldest son Reuben as Reuben built his groundwork and machinery business.

But in 2023 Clive said he would step back from the programme and let Reuben continue alone.

On ITV’s Lorraine, Clive said he had played a "massive part" in the marriage ending and defended Amanda against criticism after their separation.

Does Clive Owen still farm at Ravenseat?

Clive has continued to be involved at Ravenseat following the end of Our Yorkshire Farm and his separation from Amanda.

The former couple have remained closely connected through the farm, their children and the family's latest major project, restoring the neighbouring derelict farmhouse known as Anty John's.

Their new programme, Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, shows Clive farming while handing more responsibility to the younger generation.

In 2026, viewers saw Clive acknowledge that some of the physical work was becoming more difficult as he approached 70.

Watching son Miles shear sheep, Clive said farming was becoming "a young fella's game" as the family discussed its future.

Miles, Reuben and the other Owen children are increasingly taking on their own roles both at Ravenseat and elsewhere in the Dales.

Is Clive Owen in Our Farm Next Door?

Yes. After stepping away from his Channel 5 show with Reuben, Clive returned alongside Amanda and the rest of the family in Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids.

The series follows the restoration of Anty John's, a centuries-old farmhouse close to Ravenseat, which the Owens bought with the aim of securing something for the family's future.

Channel 4 says the programme also follows the "day-to-day farming lives of Amanda, Clive and their nine rapidly-growing children" in the Dales.

The broadcaster commissioned two more series in 2025 as work moved inside Anty John’s, covering plumbing, running water and the future use of its rooms.

Series three returned in 2026, with Clive once again appearing prominently alongside Amanda and their children.

What is Clive Owen doing now?

Clive’s life remains centred on farming and family, but his role is beginning to change.

During the 2026 series of Our Farm Next Door, he spoke about getting older and allowing the next generation to take on more responsibility at Ravenseat.

Clive said years of shearing had damaged his back and joked that he was increasingly supervising while younger family members did the heavy work.

That generational change can already be seen in his sons.

Reuben has established his own groundwork and machinery career away from Ravenseat, while Miles continues to work on the family farm as well as alongside his brother. Miles has spoken of ambitions to one day take charge of the farm himself or establish a farming operation of his own.

Clive, meanwhile, remains involved with the renovation of Anty John's.

The project has brought the Owen family together on television again, despite Amanda and Clive no longer being a couple.

Clive Owen turns 70

Clive’s 70th birthday featured in Our Farm Next Door in 2026, giving viewers a glimpse of how the family’s relationships have changed since Our Yorkshire Farm ended.

The family marked the milestone together, with Amanda arranging presents for her former husband and the children joining the celebrations.

Amanda gave Clive a motorbike jacket, while Nancy and Clementine presented him with decorated sheep horns and the family made a birthday cake.

The milestone also prompted more serious discussion about his future.

As Clive steps back from the toughest physical jobs, attention is turning to which of the Owens could take on more responsibility at Ravenseat.

But retirement does not appear to mean disappearing from Swaledale.
