THOSE who know about these things tell me that the Glastonbury music festival is a great family affair, with none of the debauchery of T in the Park.
However, the crowds present significant traffic problems, even in an area which has snarl ups every day, so when the traffic is able to run freely it is a great relief.
But I do think it was a bit severe of the local police to charge a farmer for driving his tractor on the A39 for holding up 50m cars and fining him on the spot, plus three points on his licence, for driving without reasonable consideration.
