AN ABERDEEN-ANGUS bull from Ballindalloch Home Farm was crowned supreme at Nairn Show on Saturday, ahead of the sheep and horse champions.
Brought out by farm manager, David Johnstone and his wife Susan, was the four-year-old home-bred bull, Ballindalloch Earl by Ardoyne Munro Prince, which picked up various leading awards as a calf.
Over in the sheep, it was a Bluefaced Leicester gimmer from Raymond Baynes, Blackford, Croy, which led the way. A home-bred daughter of an Auchry tup, she stood second in her class at the Black Isle last year.
Ord Tinkerbell, a one-year-old filly from Eric and Miranda Johnstone, which stood champion of champions at Sutherland Show the previous week, scooped the overall honours in the horses. She is out of the Johnstone's prize winning dam, Ord Envy.
