ENTRY numbers were up this year, at the South West Scotland Dairy Show, held at Wallets Marts Castle Douglas Ltd, on Thursday, October 19.
In total, there were 19 exhibitors in attendance, turning out Jerseys, Holsteins, Brown Swiss and Ayrshires.
Judged by Willie Bryson, Dykehead Farm, Lesmahagow, the champion Holstein went to the Yates family, of east Logan with Logan Sid Edie.
The Howies, of Wellhouse Farm, won the Jersey championship, with Wellhouse Joel Lady Carol, while the Ayrshire championship was won by the Callander Family, of Crofthead, with Brederode Stefania.
In the Brown Swiss section, Soulseat Jackpot Dee, from the McColm family, of High Borland, Stranraer was crowned the top prizewinner.
