THE QUALITY keeps getting better at LiveScot's recently installed dairy show, with a cracker for Hugh Neilson, East Brackenridge, Strathaven, heading the line-up after winning last year's inaugural milking section.

The plaudits came for his third calver, Miriesdale Saloon Atlee, which was shown three weeks calved and which had been bought at the Black and White sale at Carlisle as a calf. Rated VG87 2yr, she is by Sandvalley Saloon.

Andrew and Euan Lawrie, Grangehall, Pettinain, Lanark, had both the reserve supreme and the best bred champions.

Getting closest for them was the second calver, Emerald Doorman Twizzle, which calved down in August. Rated at VG88 3yr, this daughter of Val-Bison Doorman was making her show debut for the 220-cow herd.

The Lawries' bred champion was Grangehall Damion Jenn, the second prize heifer in milk by Erbacres Damion. Calved in September, she goes back to some ET work with Valleyville Lheros Jenn.
