George and Sophie Harvey, Balfron, Glasgow, took the top spot in the seniors with Harveybros 1 Crocus. This is one of their stars of the summer show circuit, having lately been reserve senior at Agri-Expo, champion at Doune and Dunblane plus many more prizes at other local shows this summer. This yearling heifer is sired by Normanton 1 Laertes, which was inter-breed at the Royal Highland and the Royal Welsh in 2016 and out of Harveybros 1 Crocus.

Sky High 1 Shawshank Redemption was crowned reserve senior champion for Boomer Birch, Weston, Stafford. This yearling took reserve junior male at Hereford and is a son of Remitall Super Duty, a venerable Canadian bull which made $270,000 at his herd's production sale in 2008, while his dam, Dendor 1 Jennefer 15, is one of the foundation cows of the herd.

Tom and Di Harrison, The Old Potato House, Mickley, Stocksfield, Northumberland, triumphed in the juniors, going home with both the championship and reserve tickets.

Their champion, Moralee 1 Katy Perry, was reserve junior female at Agri-Expo, the previous week and this eight-month-old heifer is by the Sire of the Year, SMH Kingsize and out of Richmount 1 Katie-Perry.

Moralee 1 Pippa was their reserve prizewinner – this seven-month-old heifer took second place at Agri-Expo and is by the same sire. Pippa is out of the Royal Highland Show champion in 2017, Coley 1 Pippa.
