Charlie’s Brown Boy, from Caroline Harker, ridden by Charlotte Harker, was crowned champion of champions at Cumberland Show by judge and former chairman, Alan Irving.

It was a first in the history of the show that a son, Alan Irving, followed in his father’s footsteps to judge this prestigious competition. His winner, a 10-year-old cob gelding competed against the ridden traditional gypsy cob champion and the beef, dairy and sheep inter-breed winners to lift the coveted title.

Their July 2019-born Hailstone Lighthouse Shelia, is sired by Westcoast Lighthouse, and scooped the same honours at Northumberland. Calved in February, she is giving 55 litres of milk a day.
