REGIONAL YOUNGSTOCK MANAGER

Wynnstay’s offering in the agricultural farm supplies and rural specialist merchanting sectors, consistently produces quality products, delivering a quality service and product to our farmer customer base, whilst maximising profitability and shareholder return.

Employing more than 900 hardworking and dedicated people all working towards an ambitious strategic plan, we operate Nationally spanning more than 60 sites including 13 manufacturing, processing and blending facilities across the Group.

We are expanding our National Youngstock Sales Team across into the North England and South Scotland areas via recruitment of a Regional Youngstock Manager to introduce our products and services to existing and new core regions of our trading area.

The Opportunity:

Our Youngstock Specialists are prominent and committed professionals in the farming community, who offer practical and strategic advice to our customers to ensure the management of youngstock on-farm is to the highest health and welfare standards possible.

• Responsible for managing long-term customer relationships, whilst identifying and fulfilling new sales opportunities, offering technical guidance and a portfolio of products.
• To develop and maximise financial contribution of youngstock products and services throughout the trading area and your given territory.
• To work closely with various sales channels, including on farm representatives, depots and other specialist teams, to develop field sales activity effectively and profitability.
• Responsible for supporting a growing product category and maintain our high standards of customer service, while helping to enhance the technical knowledge of other key personnel.
• To provide content to colleagues within the Marketing Team to support our online presence (previous blogging experience would be advantageous).

The Person:

We welcome applications of interest from all Youngstock Specialists who:

• Have an affinity with farmer customers.
• Are able to demonstrate business acumen and a sound knowledge of agriculture, particularly in ruminant livestock.
• Has proven sales experience, a can-do attitude and willingness to learn and support our business.
• Has excellent communication skills along with a good level of accuracy, IT knowledge and literacy.
