SHEPHERD/STOCKPERSON

Due to retirement, a vacancy has arisen for a shepherd/stockperson for a large cattle, sheep and arable enterprise near New Abbey, Dumfries. The successful candidate will be required to assist the existing team with the management of the estate's 1000 lnnovis type ewe flock and to occasionally assist with the 250 Stabiliser suckler cow herd.

The successful candidate will be able to work alone taking responsibility for the stock in their care while also able to work as part of a team. Working dogs and a driver's licence are essential.

This is a full-time permanent position with good financial and working conditions with opportunities for career progression which will suit an ambitious person wishing to gain further experience.

A recently renovated 3 bedroom CH house with views of the Solway Firth is available if required.
