UK TECHNOLOGIST/AGRONOMIST

A major producer and supplier of Potato Seeds is seeking to recruit a Technologist / Agronomist, covering the UK. We have offices in the North East of Scotland and East Anglia and the successful candidate can be based in either of these offices.


Your tasks:
Your tasks will include:

• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the UK including Northern Ireland on a regular and frequent basis. A full driving licence is essential and should preferably be clean.

• Seek innovative ways of improving the Company’s activity and success.

• At peak times you will need to work long hours to maintain the level of service the Company demands and ensure all tasks are satisfactorily completed.

• Looking after and directing Field Staff throughout the UK.


We expect:

• Technical qualifications (Basis and Facts) are preferred but not essential.

• Experience in potato business would be essential.

• Ability to assess crops and adapt strategies to work with the grower and commercial situation, under the direction of the Managing Director.

• Responsibility to be able to follow instructions but also use own initiative when required.

• High work commitment, high sense of responsibility and reliability.

• Flexibility, team spirit, self-motivation, as well as an assertive and confident behavior.
