VERSATILE FARM HAND

An exciting role with an innovative mixed farming business near St Andrews

Strathtyrum & Fossoway Farms is a family owned, forward thinking mixed farming enterprise covering 1,200 hectares over 4 holdings in north Fife and Kinross. A versatile farm hand is sought to replace a member of staff retiring following 45 years of service.

The position requires somebody with enthusiasm for organic or regenerative arable and livestock farming. A team player mentality is essential. Reporting to the farm manager, there will be involvement with both the livestock [cattle, sheep & pigs] and arable enterprises. All livestock are reared and finished on farm to supply our farm shop, Balgove Larder. Further integration of supply to Balgove is planned.

The successful candidate will be confident and experienced in working with livestock, with an understanding of mob grazing and pasture finishing. They should be capable of routine arable tractor work, be happy tackling physically demanding tasks and habitually tidy. Having a strong sense of pride in their work is essential.
