A select entry of Beltex sheep at Worcster, hit a top of 1500gns for the female and overall champion, a gimmer from Paul Tippett’s Hackney flock, Shifnal, Shropshire.
Sale leader was Hackney Brenda, a Muirton A Penny’s Worth daughter out of a dam by Kingledores Scallywag. She sold to WL Jerman and Sons, Whitney-On-Wye, Hereford.
Making 950gns was the male champion from the same home, Hackney Chicago. This ram lamb is by the 60,000gns Topflite Al Pacino and out of an imported dam. He was also the pick of Messrs Jerman.
Averages: 26 shearling rams £522.58; 15 ram lambs £494.20, 15 gimmers £451.50; three ewe lambs £220.50.
