Omitted from the Beef Shorthorn Bull Sales report at United Auctions' Stirling centre was C Macadie and Sons' Lightning of Skaillhouse, a second prize winner from all the way from Skaill, Thurso, which sold for 6500gns.
The bull, a son of Glenisla Faust, is out of the Bon-Accord Alpha-sired heifer, Tulip 36 of Skaillhouse and sold to Northern Ireland breeders, W and J McAllister, Parkgate Road, Kells, and T and K Madden, Ballyvaddy, Glencoy, both Ballymena.
Lightning was the second prize bull born in 2017 in the Beef Shorthorn herds competition, in Scotland, last year.
