Heifers from John Kennedy and Son's Clydeview herd from Perryston, proved the star attraction at a show and sale of Holsteins at Ayr, on Tuesday, securing the top four prices.
Dearest at 3400gns was the pre-sale champion, Clydeview Jedi Ambrosia, an ET-bred heifer bred from the Regancrest S Braxton daughter, Hemrick Holstein Braxton Amber and sired by S-S-I Montross Jedi. She sold to the Lawrie brothers from Grangehall, Pettinain, Lanark.
Two sold for 2200gns to include Clydeview Charlie Wendy, a rising four-year-old by Matcrest Sham Charlie, out of Northshields Wendy. She gave more than 8100kg in her first at 5.10%BF and 3.63%P and sold across the water to Bute with Messrs Robertson, East Saint Colmac.
The same buyers bought the second 2200gns lot, Clydeview Fever Meadowsweet, a heifer in milk by Crackholm Fever out of Clydeview Drake Meadowsweet.
