A Charolais bull from D and M Campbell, Lingland, Occumster, topped Dingwall and Highland Marts' multi-breed show and sale of 22 pedigree bulls at Dingwall, selling for 4000gns.
The bull, a two-year-old, stood reserve champion at the pre-sale show and sold to W Nicolson, Uig.
Champion was a similarly aged Limousin from A and G Howie, West Knock, Peterhead, that made 3500gns selling to HI MacKinnon, Broadford.
The firm also sold 52 adult head of breeding cattle, where the four bulling heifers peaked at £1080 for an Aberdeen-Angus from Orbliston, Fochabers, cows with heifer calves sold to £2120 for a Salers cross from Whitebog, and cows with male calves peaked at £2050 for a Simmental cross from Fanblair Farm, Kiltarlity.
