A new video featuring Scotland’s next generation of rugby talent cooking with Scotch Beef PGI and Specially Selected Pork, is available to view on the Scottish Rugby and Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) Facebook and Twitter channels.
The video, which was filmed pre-lockdown, captures one of the ‘Red Meat Cookery and Nutrition’ events, delivered in partnership between the FOSROC Scottish Rugby Academy and QMS, where players learnt about the important role red meat plays as part of a healthy, balanced diet.
During the events, the students heard from leading chef Scott Lyall, who covered some essential kitchen skills, the importance of preparation and then demonstrated a range of Scotch Beef PGI and Specially Selected Pork dishes.
The video then shows the young players going head-to-head to replicate the dishes, building skills such as knife work, food preparation and portion control all while delivering a tasty, top quality, nutritious dish.
