Despite the Covid-19 restrictions in place, the North Country Cheviot Sheep Society’s National Show are celebrating the 75th anniversary with a virtual event, and classes for both hill and park-types.
The show is an opportunity for all members to get involved to showcase the breed through history and in the current climate. It will be judged from current or historic photographs of individual owned animals, by Willie Morrison (ex-NCC secretary) and Iain Thomson (ex-Lairg auctioneer).
There will be classes for ram lambs, shearlings, aged tups, ewe lambs, gimmers and ewes with a champion and reserve placing up for grabs in both the hill and the park types.
There will also be a special prize for the best sheep prior to 2000.
However, entries are limited to one per class per flock and an animal can only be entered once.
