Five streets across Scotland have hosted a socially distant street party to celebrate Scotch Lamb PGI and a strong sense of neighbourliness that has grown during lockdown.

The winning streets won a competition run by QMS to receive a Scotch Lamb BBQ feast for 15 which included locally-sourced ingredients, provided their local Scotch Butchers Club member.

The parties come as many communities report a greater sense of neighbourliness over the past few months, with figures published by the ONS showing that 71% of Britons were confident that if they needed help during the pandemic, other members of their community would support them.

The Scottish Farmer:

There’s no better way to celebrate than by getting out the BBQ and cooking up a locally sourced meal using top quality ingredients like delicious Scotch Lamb, which has been reared by trusted Scottish farmers and enjoys whole-chain quality assurance.

“A huge congratulations to all the winners and the residents of, who are all truly deserving winners of the socially distant street party.”
