Three shearling rams sold at five-figure prices and to a top of £17,000 at the Swaledale Sheep Breeders' Association District A sale at Middleton in Teesdale.
Sale leader at that price was Roachburn Prince, from L Smith and Co, Roachburn, purchased by TW Cowperthwaite, Tennant Gill Farm, Malham Moor, Settle.
The Smiths also took £5000 for Roachburn Viceroy from JR Dalton, South Wellhope.
Earlier in the day, F and MP Allinson, West Briscoe, sold West Briscoe Rockafella for £14,000 in a three-way split to MR and LE Rukin, Gatehouse; JR Rukin, Park Lodge and J Allison and Son, Seal Houses.
Another from the same stable, West Briscoe Requin, made £6500, when knocked down to William Ridley, Wood Hall, Hesket New Market.
Priorsdale Eric Prydz also hit the big time for Weardale Estates, Ashgill, when he made £10,000 selling to R Hutchinson and Son, Valley Farm; AD and P Coates, Aygill and Weardale Estates retaining an equal share.
Just behind, on £9500, AM Walton, Bowlees and DW Dent, Wythes Hill, bought D and EM and ID Brown's Lummas Sizzler, from Lummas House.
And, at £7000, DC and KL Hutchinson, Old Spittal, sold Bedlow Illusion, to JRD and JA Short, Ouston, Whitfield.
Two shearlings realised £5800 to include High Birk Hatt PL 7, from AE Iceton and Sons, selling to JH Emerson, Hag Gate Farm, and Gunnerfleet Cockbain King’ from J Handley purchased by A Dalton, Glenhill, Allendale.
Ram lambs sold to £1600 and £1400 from R Marwood and Sons, Hill Top, purchased by West Briscot and JL Archer, White Hill Farm, respectively.
Another from the Marwoods made £1200 to Ted Fox, St Johns Kirk, Biggar.
Matching that £1200 sale, Burncroft Farm sold a lamb to Richard Tiplady, Red House Farm.
Averages: 167 shearling rams, £1150.20 (+£175.50); 27 ram lambs, £405.56 (+£405.56); eight aged rams, £162.50 (-£121.50).
