A new record price of 14,000gns for an in-lamb Blackface gimmer has been paid at the association's timed on-line sale through Lawrie and Symington.
The gimmer, from Hugh and Alan Blackwood, Auldhouseburn, Muirkirk, sold to London-based enthusiast, Huseyin Gural Kofali, Hot Nuts Ltd. She is by a £160,000 Elmscleugh and sold carrying a single to the £70,000 Harestone Double Yolker tup lamb bought at Lanark, last year.
Northern Ireland breeders, John and Patrick Harkin, Loughash, Donnemana, sold two at five-figures, with the first, a two-crop ewe by a £24,000 Crossflatt carrying twins to the £38,000 Dalchirla. She made 10,200gns selling to Joseph Grant, Cloughfin, Clonmany.
Selling at 10,000gns from Loughash, to Kieran Donaghey, Effishmore, Clonmany, was a gimmer by a £7000 Nunnerie, due with a pair of lambs to a £9000 Elmscleugh.
A flying trade throughout saw a 100% clearance with the 50 females cashing in at £3214.00.
